settings_system_daydream CMIS Repository nodes provide document access in external storage platforms through a cloud CMIS Connection. With a CMIS Repository, users can manage and interact with those documents within Grooper. They are used primarily for import using Import Descendants and Import Query Results and for export using CMIS Export.

  • CMIS Repositories are create as a child node of a CMIS Connection using the "Import Repository" command.

You can't understand what a CMIS Repository is without understanding what a CMIS Connection is.

A CMIS Connection is the Grooper object that connects Grooper to external storage platforms.

  • Like the Windows file system, or Box cloud storage platform, or an Outlook email account.
  • Once connected with a CMIS Connection, Grooper can access content in the storage platform by creating and accessing a child CMIS Repository.

The CMIS Repository is the Grooper object that represents a particular repository in the storage platform.

  • Like a folder in the Windows file system, or a folder in a Box account, or an Outlook inbox.
