ESP Auto Separation (Separation Provider)

ESP Auto Separation is the most effort intensive Separation Provider, but is often the appropriate solution for the most complicated separation and classification challenges. It uses classification logic from a Content Model combined with extracted page number information and Attachment Rules to both classify and separate documents at the same time. ESP Auto Separation is extremely useful for document sets with a variety of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured documents.

Document Types should be set up in a Content Model complete with trained examples or rules for classification defined. The "Separation" properties of the Document Type are critically important to ESP Separation.

Here will be defined whether the document pagination is:

• Structured
• Unstructured
• Fixed or
• Extended

This will impact how classified pages are foldered into documents.

Optionally, ESP allows you to create rules to combine "Attachment Type" documents with classified documents. Attachment Types are Document Types which are appended or prepended to other Document Types during separation.
