Repository Options are optional features that affect the entire repository. These optional features enable functionality that otherwise do not work without first establishing the connections these options provide. Repository Options are added to a Grooper Repository and configured using the database Root node's Options property.

Currently, there are 3 Repository Options you can add to a Grooper Repository:

  • LLM Connector - This enables LLM-based functionality, including AI Extract. Its configuration involves connecting to an LLM provider, such as OpenAI.
  • AI Search - This enables the Grooper Search page and allows documents and their data to be added to an AI Search index. It's configuration involves entering the Azure AI Search service's URL and API key. See here for our quickstart guide.
  • Text Analysis Option - This enables the "Text Analysis" extractors (Entity Recognition, Key Phrase Extraction, PII Entity Recognition). These extractors use the Azure AI Language cloud service. Its configuration involves inputting an API key for Azure AI Services.BE AWARE: This feature should be considered "in-development" and has not been tested extensively.
